Students protest demanding arrest of killers of LLB student

Meerut, 18 September (HS). Students staged a protest at the SSP office on Monday demanding the arrest of those accused of murder of an LLB student in Bhamauri village of Sardhana police station area. The students warned of violent agitation if the killers were not arrested.

Four days ago, LLB student Mohit was shot dead in broad daylight in Bhamauri village over a road dispute. On Monday, when the accused of murder of the student have not been arrested, the students of Meerut College created a ruckus at the SSP office and sat on strike. CO Civil Line Arvind Chaurasia tried to convince the students and asked them to present their views to the SSP. After this the students met SSP Rohit Singh Sajwan and demanded the arrest of the accused of murder. The students accused the police of releasing a murder accused. The SSP assured the victim’s family and students of strict action in this case. After this, seeing the seriousness of the case, the SSP instructed the station in-charge Sardhana Ramakant Pachauri to immediately arrest all the accused involved in the murder.
