The number of devotees reaches lakhs during the Rudraksh festival. As soon as the narrator came to know about receiving a threatening letter, there was anger among the devotees.

The Home Minister replied on 10 February

It has been told that there is no name or mobile number of anyone in the letter threatening to kill and defame the narrator Pandit Pradeep Mishra. Navneet Rana, BJP MP from Maharashtra's Amravati seat, has written a letter to Union Home Minister Amit Shah regarding the safety of the narrator. In response to the letter of a member of the Lok Sabha, Union Minister Amit Shah wrote, “Shri Navneet Ravi Rana ji, I have received your letter dated 22 December 2023 regarding the safety of storyteller Pandit Pradeep Mishra Sehore. This letter was replied to by the Home Minister on 10th February.

In the case of the threatening letter, Sameer Shukla, a member of Kubereshwar Dham Committee of narrator Pradeep Mishra, said that when the Lok Sabha member came to know about this, he sought protection from Union Home Minister Amit Shah. Even before this a letter had come in Amravati. Now once again the letter has been received. Regarding this matter, SP Mayank Awasthi said that no such information has been given here. This is an outside thing. Pradeep Mishra has already got security from Bhopal Police Headquarters.
