The Indian stock market has opened in the red zone today i.e. on 26 September Thursday. Yesterday the market closed 256 points higher. Sensex and Nifty reached their highest level ever. During today's trading, Sensex reached 85,333 and Nifty reached 26,051. Currently, Sensex is trading near its all-time high of 140 points and Nifty is up 40 points.

Out of the 30 Sensex stocks, 21 are up and 9 are down. Out of the 50 Nifty stocks, 35 are up and 15 are down. Talking about the sectoral index of NSE, the IT sector stocks are witnessing the highest growth.

Among Nifty stocks, Maruti was the top gainer, up 1.52 per cent, SBI Life 1.49 per cent, Tata Consumer 1.05 per cent, LTI Mindtree 0.91 per cent and Nestle India 0.90 per cent. Besides, Hero Motocorp was down 2.27 per cent, ONGC 1.17 per cent, Hindalco 0.79 per cent, Power Grid 0.78 per cent and NTPC 0.61 per cent.

The market made an all-time high on Wednesday too

Earlier yesterday, on September 25, the stock market reached an all-time high for the sixth consecutive day. During trading, the Sensex touched 85,247 and the Nifty touched 26,032.

After this, the Sensex closed at 85,169 with a gain of 255 points. Nifty also closed at 26,004, up 63 points. Auto, IT, energy and banking stocks rose.
