Stock News: Market falls on the first day of trading, Sensex drops more than 150 points | News India

The Indian stock market has opened in the red zone today i.e. Monday 09 September. The market closed down by 1,017 points on Friday as well. The Sensex is trading at 81,000 with a fall of more than 150 points. 22 out of its 30 stocks are down.

Nifty is also witnessing a decline of about 50 points. It is trading at the level of 24,800. 29 stocks of Nifty 50 are down and 21 are up. Energy and metal stocks are down.

The market witnessed a huge decline on Friday

Earlier, on the last trading day of last week, September 6, the Sensex fell 1017 points (1.24%) to close at 81,183. Nifty also fell 292 points (1.17%) to close at 24,852.

Asian markets are in bad shape today

On Friday, after the release of US economic data including employment, the Dow Jones Industrial Average fell more than 1 percent, the S&P 500 by about 1.75 percent and the Nasdaq by more than 2.5 percent on Wall Street. After which a huge decline is being seen in the Asian markets today.
