The Indian stock market closed on the red mark today i.e. on Monday 07 October. The market opened in the morning with a gain of Rs 300.
A big gap was created in the market on Friday
Earlier on Friday, October 4, the Sensex had fallen 808 points or 0.98 per cent and closed at 81,688. Nifty also closed at 25,049, down 200 points or 0.93 percent. Out of 30 Sensex stocks, 21 declined and 9 rose. Out of 50 Nifty stocks, 37 declined and 13 gained. Except the IT sector of NSE, all other sectors witnessed a decline. The maximum decline was 2.53 percent in the media sector.
