New Zealand Cricket Board has announced its team for the ICC T20 World Cup to be hosted by America and West Indies. Kane Williamson will take charge of the team and he will captain the team in the T20 World Cup for the sixth time as captain. Devon Conway has returned to the Kiwi team, who was out of the current IPL due to injury. Conway plays for Chennai Super Kings. Fast bowlers Tim Southee and Trent Boult have also got a chance. Southee will play his seventh T20 World Cup. Fast bowling all-rounder Kyle Jamieson and all-rounder Adam Mill are out of the team due to injury.
New Zealand Cricket Board announced the team in a unique way. The board posted a video on social media in which two children, Angus and Matilta (girl), joined the press conference and announced the team. It is noteworthy that before the ODI World Cup played last year, the wives and other family members of the Kiwi players had announced the team. This particular estimate was selected from around the world. The New Zealand Board has requested other boards to prepare such a plan.
