India's 17-year-old Anmol Kharab has made the country proud. Anmol won her first international title in women's singles at the Belgium International Badminton Tournament on Saturday. Anmol defeated her Danish opponent Amalie Schulz in a tough match.
India's Anmol Kharab, who entered the main draw of the tournament through the qualifying rounds, won the title with a 24-22, 12-21, 21-10 win over his seventh seeded opponent in a 59-minute match. The tournament played in Belgium was an International Challenge event.
Earlier, Anmol Kharab defeated another Danish player Irina Amalie Andersen in the semi-final match on Friday. Anmol Kharab, a resident of Faridabad, Haryana, was a member of the Indian team that won the gold medal in the 2024 Badminton Asia Team Championship. Anmol is currently ranked 222nd in the badminton rankings.
