The incident took place in Bilhaur area of Kanpur, where on Monday night, two miscreants attacked a head constable with sticks when he had gone out to eat. The constable was thrown down in the middle of the road and beaten severely. Due to which the condition of the constable became such that he was admitted to Kanpur Medical College.
The name of the victim constable is Mohammad Murtaza. He was posted in dial 112 of Kakwan police station. On the day of the incident, after finishing his night duty, he had gone out on his bike to have dinner with his friend Dilip. When both of them were returning after having dinner, on the way they had an argument with youths named Rahul and Vishal on some issue. When Murtaza told that he was in the police, the argument turned into a scuffle.
It is alleged that Rahul and Vishal beat constable Murtaza severely with sticks and sticks. Murtaza’s friend informed about this in Bilhaur police station. The Bilhaur police team reached the spot and admitted Murtaza to the nearby hospital, where due to his serious condition, Murtaza was referred to Halat Hospital of Kanpur Medical College.
Constable Murtaza sustained injuries on his head and face. There is a lot of blood coming out from the body. According to the doctor, his condition is serious. Kanpur DCP Vijay Dhull reached the hospital to inquire about the condition of the constable. DCP says that FIR has been registered against the assaulters Rahul and Vishal. Both are being searched. The FIR has been written under serious sections. It is being told that the accused is close to a politician of Vishal area.
