Firozpur: The Bharatiya Janata Party has expelled former Congress MLA Shreb Kaur Ghari from the primary membership of the party for 6 years after she was arrested in Mohali late on Wednesday evening in a drug trafficking case. Before her nearly two-and-a-half year stay in the BJP, Shrekh Kaur Ghari was a long-time member of the All India Congress Committee. In the early days of his political career, he started politics under the leadership of Rana Gurmeet Singh Sodhi, who was close to the family of then Congress Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh.
