Mirzapur, 27 August (HS). District Magistrate Priyanka Niranjan reviewed the progress of various items of officers related to revenue recovery in the Collectorate auditorium on Tuesday. The District Magistrate directed the Sub-District Magistrate Chunar to issue a show-cause notice as the recovery progress in main dues, miscellaneous dues and labour dues was very poor. She said that by making an action plan, bring the expected progress next month.

The District Magistrate said that despite the presence of revenue staff including Amins in Tehsil Chunar, the poor recovery progress is a matter of concern. He said that the Deputy District Magistrate should review the Naib Tehsildar and Aminwar every day and ensure action against Amins for poor progress. During the review, he warned the Commercial Tax and Electricity Department on the poor recovery progress and the progress of resolving various complaints and directed them to improve their performance.

While directing the officers of the Electricity Department, he said that action should be taken against the big defaulters of electricity bills and GST by running a campaign for recovery or ensure other action against them if they do not deposit as per rules. In tax and non-tax, instructions were given to increase the monthly target of stamp, public works department, excise by making an action plan if it is less. The Executive Engineer Electricity was directed to provide a detailed list of how many connection holders of two to five kilowatts are there and how many of them are bill defaulters. Similarly, instructions were given to provide a detailed list of electricity dues in block-wise government primary schools to the District Panchayat Raj Officer so that action can be taken to deposit it on time. Departmental action, revision of Khatauni and share determination, inheritance etc. were reviewed. The District Magistrate directed all the Tehsildars to do undisputed inheritance. While reviewing each point in the case of Chief Minister Dashboard, he directed that those whose ranking has been found to be poor on a low margin, should bring the required next month so that the ranking can be improved.

Show-cause notice to Tehsildar Sadar in pending pension case

In Tehsil Lalganj and Sadar, the Tehsildar was directed to issue a show-cause notice in case of pension cases pending after retirement and cases related to various matters pending for more than six months.

Adequate number of CCTV cameras installed in tehsils

The District Magistrate directed all the Sub-District Magistrates to ensure that adequate number of CCTV cameras, fire extinguishers, computers and generators are installed in the tehsils by demanding them wherever required. The Tehsildar Sadar was asked for an estimate for building a shed for the farmers and complainants to sit. While giving instructions to expedite the settlement of cases, he said that the decisions taken in the court should also be ensured to be complied with on time so that people can benefit.
