Sheikh Hasina: Just two days after resigning from the post of Prime Minister of Bangladesh and leaving the country, voices have started rising in support of Sheikh Hasina's return to Bangladesh. Leaders of the Awami League and its allied organizations have vowed to bring Sheikh Hasina back to Bangladesh. After several weeks of massive protests in the country, Sheikh Hasina resigned from the post of Prime Minister last Monday and was leaving the country. She is currently in a safe place in India. Awami League leaders in Gopalganj, Bangladesh said that they will not rest until Sheikh Hasina is brought back to Bangladesh with respect.

Awami League workers on Wednesday gathered in front of the grave of Bangladesh founder Sheikh Mujibur Rahman at Tungipara in Gopalganj and vowed to bring back their leader. The oath-taking ceremony in the afternoon was conducted by Gopalganj district president of Awami League Mehboob Ali Khan. At the event, Gopalganj district Awami League general secretary GM Saheb Uddin Azam said they will fight the political battle and continue the agitation till Sheikh Hasina and her sister Sheikh Rihana are brought back to the country.

Indication of Sheikh Hasina's return

Earlier, he reached Tungipara mausoleum with a procession from Gopalganj city. There Bangabandhu paid tribute to Sheikh Mujibur Rahman by offering flowers. Awami League leaders have taken this oath at a time when Sheikh Hasina's son Sajeeb Wajed has indicated a return to Bangladesh politics. Sajeeb Wajed said in a video message that 'I had said that our family will not return to politics but if our leaders and workers are harassed, we will not sit quiet.'

Sheikh Hasina is not dead

Wazed appealed to the party leaders to stand strong and said that the Awami League is not finished. It is the largest democratic political party. It will not be easy to destroy the Awami League. Without the Awami League, it is not possible to build a new democratic Bangladesh. 'We are with you. Sheikh Hasina is not dead. We are Bangabandhu's family. We have not gone anywhere. We will do everything possible to save the country and the Awami League.' “Now whoever is in charge of the country, I want to tell them that we also want a terrorism-free Bangladesh. For this, we are ready to start talks with anyone.'
