New Delhi, June 21 (HS). Long jump athlete Shaili Singh won the silver medal at the World Athletics Continental Tour (Bronze Level) JBL Jump Fest in Kosice, Slovakia on Thursday.
20-year-old Shaili finished second among six athletes with a best jump of 6.43m in the fifth round. Bulgaria's Plamena Mitkova won the gold medal with a jump of 6.70m, a new record.
Aldoz Paul won the bronze medal in the men's triple jump while Praveen Chitravel finished last among six participants.
Commonwealth Games gold medallist Aldoz finished third with 16.45m, while Praveen finished sixth with a best effort of 15.87m. Cuba's Lazaro Martinez won the gold with 16.88m.
The three Indians will take part in the National Inter-State Athletics Championships in Panchkula from June 27 to 30 and try to qualify for the Paris Olympics.
The Olympic qualification cycle will end on June 30.
