Lahore, 07 October (HS). Pakistan's counter-terrorism department killed seven terrorists of the banned Fitna al-Khawarij group in an intelligence-based operation near Makarwal-Mianwali. During this period, eight terrorists managed to escape.
ARY News channel shared this news on its portal on Monday quoting the Anti-Terrorism Department. According to details, six hand grenades, safety fuse wire, seven Kalashnikovs, bullets and explosive material were recovered from the spot. The fleeing terrorists are being searched. These terrorists were planning an attack in Mianwali.
Inter Services Public Relations said that earlier on September 7, security forces had foiled an attack on the Frontier Corps headquarters in Mohmand district of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa. The attack was carried out by four suicide bombers belonging to the terrorist group Fitnah al-Khawarij. The security force personnel effectively foiled the attempt to enter the headquarters. During this time all four suicide bombers were killed.
