Katihar, 02 August (HS). The written examination of the candidates for selection to the post of “constable” in Bihar Police and other units in the district is to be held in single shift on 07 August, 11 August, 18 August, 21 August, 25 August and 28 August. A total of 22 centers have been set up in the district for the said examination, in which about 7,847 candidates are expected to appear.
In order to conduct the above six-day examination peacefully and without any malpractice, on Friday the District Magistrate and the Superintendent of Police jointly held a meeting with the Nodal Officer nominated for the centre, Zonal cum Patrol Magistrate, Static Magistrate, Centre Superintendent and Police Officer.
In this context, the Assistant Examination Coordinator-cum-Additional Collector informed all the Center Superintendents and Magistrates that all the candidates concerned at the examination center should be allowed to enter the examination center after matching the photo and identity card printed on the e-admit card. No candidate will be allowed to carry electronic items like mobile phone, calculator, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi gadget, electronic pen, pager, wrist watch etc. and items like whitener, eraser and blade in the examination hall. If any kind of electronic material is found, it will be considered as malpractice and necessary legal action will be taken and the candidate will be barred from participating in the Commission's examinations for the next five years including this examination.
In the said meeting, the Superintendent of Police directed all the officials and said that all the female candidates should be frisked thoroughly by female staff and male candidates should be frisked thoroughly by male staff. The process of entry of candidates for the examination is that the candidates have to reach the examination centers by 09:30 AM in the presence of the Center Superintendent, deputed Static Magistrate-cum- Observer and Police Officer. He instructed the officials that the candidates will be seated according to the roll number and photo mentioned on their allotted roll number-cum-photo sticker before 10:30 AM so that other procedures can also be done to conduct the examination peacefully and without any malpractice.
