A 35-year-old sanitation worker, resident of Jawan village of the district, committed suicide by hanging himself on Thursday after a quarrel with his wife. The police handed over the body to the relatives after conducting the post-mortem. The deceased used to work on contract in the Municipal Corporation of Ballabhgarh.
Sonu, a resident of Jawan village, was married to Monika, a resident of Jharsentli village, 10 years ago. Monika used to stay at her maternal home in Jharsentli due to frequent quarrels between the husband and wife. When Sonu used to go to his in-laws' house to bring his wife, she used to beat him. She used to take his salary as well. Monika had kept all his documents with her. Tired of this quarrel, Sonu hanged himself from a fan in a room inside the house late on Wednesday night.
He committed suicide by hanging himself. The deceased has a five year old son. The deceased's brother Netrapal has filed a case against Monika with the police station Chhayansa for forcing him to commit suicide. Police station in-charge Ranveer Singh says that the deceased was also addicted to alcohol. He was often in an inebriated state. The police is investigating the case.
