Sanatan Dharma Comment Line: Tamil Nadu Youth Affairs and Sports Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin has again given a controversial statement regarding Sanatan Dharma on Monday (18 September 2023). Stalin reacted to the statement of Tamil Nadu Governor RN Ravi. Earlier, the Governor had said in a program that there is a lot of caste based discrimination in the state. There is no need to destroy Sanatan, because here everyone is equal by birth.
In response to which Stalin said that ‘due to caste discrimination they talk about destroying Sanatan Dharma. Sanatan Dharma will have to be ended. We also talk about ending discrimination on the basis of caste. The Governor is also saying the same. We believe that caste based on birth should be abolished. Wherever there is discrimination on the basis of caste, I want to end that discrimination.
What did the Governor of Tamil Nadu say?
The Governor of Tamil Nadu said on Sunday (September 17) that there is social discrimination in the society, which is unacceptable. He said, “There is untouchability and social discrimination.” People of many societies are not treated equally. It is painful. Hindu religion does not say this. Hindu religion talks about equality.
He said, ‘Every day I read in the newspaper, receive news, hear that our brothers and sisters from the Scheduled Caste are not allowed to enter temples. This is very strange. There should be no caste restrictions anywhere in India. Responding to the Governor’s comment, DMK spokesperson Saravanan Annadurai said that the Governor does not like our Dravidian model. That’s why they are spreading false propaganda.
The Governor is a preacher of Sanatan Dharma
DMK spokesperson Annadurai said, ‘The Governor is not able to digest the fact that the Dravidian model is a successful model of governance. This is against Dravidian ideology. He is a propagator of Sanatan ideology, wherever he goes he discusses the virtues of Sanatan Dharma, but Sanatan Dharma is responsible for the caste system.
