Bijapur, May 20 (HS). A large number of villagers, including sarpanch, district member and district member of 14 gram panchayats under Bhopalpatnam block of the district, on Monday submitted a memorandum to Madded police station in-charge to inform the public representatives about the arrest of the villagers. It has been said in the memorandum that any villager from the villages of Gram Panchayat Maddeh, Kesaiguda, Sangampalli, Tamlapalli, Vangapalli, Pegdapalli, Uskaled, Minkapalli, Pamgar, Kottapalli Cherpalli, Dampaya, Gorla, Sandrapalli is brought to the police station by calling him a Naxalite or in other cases. If so, then village sarpanches and public representatives must be informed about it.
All the Sarpanches and Panchayat representatives present during the memorandum said that the houses and agricultural fields of the tribals are in the forest and the tribals depend on the forest. From time to time, one has to go to the forest every day to collect Mahua, Tora, Tamarind, Tendu leaves, etc. and domestically useful wood produced from the forest. Most of the income of us tribals is generated from the forest. The forest is the source of sustenance for our family, the hearth of our house burns from the forest only. The tribal families are completely dependent on the forest. In any case, if the police calls any villager to the police station or if any villager is caught from the forest and brought to the police station, then the police administration should inform the family of the detained villager or the village sarpanch, Patel. So that we villagers can know whether the person who has been caught is of criminal nature or not. Even if the police administration arrests someone with strong evidence, this information should be given to the family members and village heads.
During this, Sarita Chapa District Panchayat Member, Mitcha Mutteya District Vice President, Anil Pambhoi Vice President of All Tribal District Bijapur, Tinge Chinna Bai Sarpanch, Kamla Paret Sarpanch, Shankarlal, Talandi Ramachandram, Chalpat Udde, Mahadev Chapa, Rajaram Vasm Patel, Bhadri Prakash, Marpelli Sanjay. , Vasam Rameya, Anand Pambhoi, Kaka Yogesh, Marpalli Ganpat, Marpalli Lakshmeya, Marpalli Kanhaiya, Vinod Kumar Marpalli, Yalam Manoj, and villagers were present.
