Ranchi, 19 February (HS). The criminal appeal of Kuldev Sah, accused in a case related to child trafficking in Sahibganj, was heard in the Jharkhand High Court on Monday. During the hearing, the IO (researcher) of this case was physically present in the court. The court asked him regarding the action taken in the case of recovery of children after December 31, 2023. On this he told the court that the two missing children have not been found yet and the police is making efforts to recover them.
The IO told the court that on the instructions of Sahibganj SP, 24 children have been recovered from different areas of Delhi and UP. All these children have been brought to Sahibganj and sent back to their homes. After this, the court has directed the IO of the case to complete the trial in the case of both the missing children soon, so that the trial court can give its verdict soon. The case was heard in the division bench of Justice Sujit Narayan Prasad.
It is noteworthy that M Hembram, a resident of Sahibganj, has filed a complaint against Kuldev Sah and Viren Sah in the Sahibganj court, accusing them of child trafficking of his son.
