Saharsa, July 10 (HS). Workers of Inquilabi Naujawan Sabha RYA protested fiercely against the central government at Kachhari Halt on Wednesday, demanding recruitment to the vacant posts in the railways without delay and increasing the number of non-AC sleeper and general bogies. Under the leadership of RYA National Council member and CPI(ML) leader Kundan Yadav, a procession was taken out from near Biscoman and after reaching Kachhari Halt, slogans were raised against the BJP government. Thereafter, a memorandum of demands in the name of the Railway Minister was handed over to the station superintendent and action was demanded.
While addressing on the occasion, Kundan said that the BJP government at the center is privatizing railway stations, platforms, routes etc. In the railways, which provides the most jobs in the whole country, the BJP government is constantly eliminating posts and ruining the future and youth of the youth. Which is a sheer injustice to the youth. He said that the central government is making railway tickets expensive and reducing the number of general coaches and non-AC sleeper coaches, due to which migrant workers, students and sick people are forced to travel standing like sheep and goats even in the toilets. This is not only inhuman but also a violation of the right to live with human dignity given by the Constitution. Therefore, he demanded from the government to increase the number of general coaches and non-AC sleeper coaches.
RYA state executive member Santosh Ram said that increasing accidents in railways are making the train journey a journey of death. Railway accidents are continuously increasing due to shortage of staff. The government should restore the safety standards and work to fill the vacant posts in railways immediately. On this occasion RYA leaders Sagar Kumar Sharma, Rampravesh Kumar, Vipin Kumar, Nandan Kumar, Deepak Kumar, Mantu Yadav, Dilkhush Kumar, Bambholi Sada, Akhilesh Sah, Khegramas leader Vakil Kumar Yadav and others were present.
