RNTU Champions Trophy: EML and Elite Cricket Club win their respective matches

Bhopal : Two matches were played between the Corporate Group of 3rd RNTU Champions Trophy 2022 organized by Rabindranath Tagore University. First match was played today between EML vs Alisha Enterprises. EML won the toss and elected to bat first. Batting EML, batsman Arbaaz Uddin 74 off 55 balls, Zaid 58 off 23 balls, and Sumit Taneja’s 35 off 36 balls set a target of 185 for 6 in 20 overs. While bowling for Alisha Enterprises, Parmar took 2 wickets for 25 runs in 4 overs, Shahid Salman took 2 wickets for 30 runs in 4 overs. Chasing the target, the team of Alisha Enterprises could only manage 161 runs for 10 wickets in 18.5 overs. Batsman Shahid Salman scored 48 runs off 22 balls, Hamam scored 30 runs off 25 balls and Abhishek Sangwan scored 17 runs off 17 balls. Bowling for EML, Arbaaz Uddin took 4 wickets for 22 runs in 4 overs, Shoaib Akhtar took 3 wickets for 43 runs in 3.5 overs and Dharmendra took 1 for 35 in 4 overs. EML won by 24 runs. EML all-rounder Arbaaz Uddin was awarded man of the match for his double performance at the hands of Omprakash and Bharat Kumar Bande, account executives of the university’s accounts department.

Whereas today the second match was played between Elite Cricket Club and Master 11. Elite Cricket Club won the toss and decided to bat first. Elite Cricket Club’s batsman Nitin Thakur scored 146 runs for the loss of 10 wickets in 18.4 overs thanks to 22 runs off 13 balls, 16 runs off 15 balls by Anand Batham and 16 runs off 15 balls by Abhishek Verma. While Master 11 bowler Manoj Manmani took two wickets for 17 runs in 4 overs, Abhishek Gaur took 1 wicket for 36 runs in 4 overs and Nikku took 1 wicket for 36 runs in 4 overs. Khanna scored 31 runs in 40 balls, Vivek Arya made 17 runs in 18 balls and Vikas made 16 runs in 11 balls with the help of 102 runs in 7 wickets in 20 overs. Light Cricket Club bowler Abhishek Verma took two wickets for 19 runs in 4 overs, Vikrant Kohli took one wicket for 12 runs in 4 overs and Aan Batham took 17 runs in four overs. Light Cricket Club won this match by 44 runs. Abhijeet Parulekar of Elite Cricket Club was awarded Man of the Match at the hands of University Assistant Registrar Sukhendra Singh Gaharwar and Sports Officer Satish Ahirwar for excellent stumpings and run outs.
