Reaction to the treatment meted out to Sheila Dikshit

Senior BJP leader and former Union Minister Dr. Harsh Vardhan has given a big statement against Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) chief Arvind Kejriwal regarding former Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit. Harsh Vardhan said that Kejriwal will definitely be punished by God for his behavior with Sheila Dikshit. He made this comment while referring to a TV interview of Sheila Dikshit’s son Sandeep Dikshit.

Harsh Vardhan’s statement: “God will punish”

Dr. Harsh Vardhan, who has been active in Delhi politics against Sheila Dikshit for a long time, reacted strongly to Kejriwal’s behaviour.

• He said:
  “Our political differences were for the interest of the country earlier, are there today and will remain so in future too. But the way Arvind Kejriwal treated late Sheila Dikshit ji, God will definitely punish him for his cunningness.”

Sandeep Dixit’s interview: allegations against Kejriwal

Dr. Harsh Vardhan gave this reaction while sharing a TV interview of Sandeep Dixit.

• Sandeep Dixit said:
  “Kejriwal even raised the issue of AC in my mother’s house (Sheila Dikshit) to defame her.”
  • Referring to the presence of 12 ACs in Sheila Dikshit’s house, he said that this was the normal arrangement in the Chief Minister’s house.
  • Sandeep’s question:
    “What is the big deal in having 12 ACs in a house which has 7-8 big rooms? But Kejriwal tried to brand my mother as a debaucher by making it an issue of corruption.”
  • He also raised questions on Kejriwal’s ‘Sheeshmahal’ controversy, in which his own bungalow has the burden of 200 ACs.

Kejriwal’s allegations on Anna movement and Sheila Dikshit

During the Anna movement in 2011 and later the formation of Aam Aadmi Party, Arvind Kejriwal had made many serious allegations of corruption against Sheila Dikshit.

• Kejriwal’s allegations:
  • Number of ACs in Sheila Dikshit’s house made an issue.
  • Claimed to have documentary evidence against him.
• Changed stance after coming to power:
  After coming to power, Kejriwal’s attitude towards Sheila Dikshit normalized, and he stopped accusing her.
