RCB has groomed 'Water Boy' Travis Head who is now making waves in Hyderabad

Travis Head has played many explosive innings so far in IPL 2024. In the 57th match of the tournament, Head played a brilliant innings against Lucknow Super Giants and scored 89* runs in 30 balls with the help of 8 fours and 8 sixes. This is not the first time that Travis Head has shown explosive batting this season, but he has been seen doing so since the beginning. But this same Trevid Head was the 'water boy' in RCB.

RCB did not give many chances

Trevid Head, who initially played for Hyderabad, was a part of Royal Challengers Bangalore in 2016 and 2017. He did not get many chances from RCB. A picture is becoming increasingly viral on social media, in which Mukhiya is seen holding a water bottle. Sharing the picture, he wrote, “Believe me, Travis Head was a water boy in RCB.” In the picture, Head can be seen standing with a water bottle near the boundary line along with Bengaluru's star batsman AB de Villiers.

Head stayed in Bengaluru till 2017

Let us tell you that Head was a part of RCB for two years (2016 and 2017). However, he got to play only 10 matches in two years. Head scored 205 runs in 10 matches at an average of 29.29 and a strike rate of 138.51, with his highest score being 75*. After 2017, Head was no longer a part of IPL.

After this, in the mini auction held for IPL 2024, Hayden was bought by Sunrisers Hyderabad for Rs 6.80 crore. Australian batsmen proved to be very successful for Hyderabad this season. Head took the responsibility of opening for Hyderabad. He proved to be a successful opener for the team.

Head has played 11 matches so far in IPL 2024. In 11 innings of these matches, he has scored 533 runs at an average of 53.30 and a tremendous strike rate of 201.89. During this period he has scored 1 century and 4 half-centuries. He has hit 61 fours and 31 sixes.
