Ration card: Those who are working away from home for livelihood, they will not have to leave their work and come home to get e-KYC done for ration card. Yes, let us tell you that they can get e-KYC done by going to the nearest ration shop where they are working.

District Supply Officer Akhilesh Srivastava said that now consumers will be able to get e-KYC done by contacting the ration dealer as per their convenience. They just have to go to the nearest ration shop. The documents required for e-KYC of ration card should include ration card number and Aadhaar holder, so that biometric verification (fingerprint or pupil print in the machine) can be done.

After completing this process, the e-KYC data will be compiled on the departmental server. Beneficiaries whose biometrics fail on a day will have the option to re-get the biometrics anytime within three months before e-KYC.

He said that there are beneficiaries of the state who get e-KYC done in another state and there are beneficiaries of another state who get biometric done for e-KYC in this state. Verification and updating of their e-KYC data will be subject to the instructions issued by the Government of India.

During the e-KYC campaign, the head of the ration card will also have to provide the mobile number and relationship information of the head in the ration card. During verification, e-KYC of such beneficiaries living in other states can be done only in that state. There is no obligation for them to come to their state for e-KYC.
