Lakhimpur Kheri, 05 October (Hindustan Reporter). The rape case took a new turn on Saturday when the minor victim Kisheri died in Lucknow after 15 days during treatment. The family members reached the District Magistrate's office with the dead body. They started raising slogans against the police administration for not arresting the accused.
A minor girl resident of Deuvapur village of Sadar Kotwali area was raped by a youth from the same village. The victim's family had filed a complaint in this matter on September 20. The police registered a case and started investigation. Meanwhile, when the victim's health deteriorated, she was referred from the district hospital to Lucknow for treatment.
He died during treatment on the night of October 4. On Saturday, the family reached the District Magistrate's office with the dead body of their daughter. They wanted to create a ruckus by keeping the dead body at the residence. In view of this, heavy police force was deployed. The family members raised slogans at the District Magistrate's residence.
The family alleges that even after 15 days of the case being registered, the police has not been able to arrest the accused. In this case, ASP East Pawan Gautam said that a case has already been registered in Sadar Kotwali on the complaint of the family members. It has been confirmed that the girl died due to dengue, but as per the allegations of the family, medical forms are being sought. Meanwhile, a team has been formed to arrest the accused.
