Everything is easy access in the twenty first century; Whether it’s a ticket to the next show or a crash site for a weekend getaway. However, with the ease of information comes something even scarier, radiation! Which we had no idea that we were unknowingly eating. But somehow, we know that blue light can damage our eyes and weaken our retinas, so imagine how much damage it can do to our skin. It can be really frightening!

We are surrounded by electronic devices like mobile phones, computers and laptops which emit radiation. But do we know what radiation really is? And what kind of damage does it do to the skin?

The cell phone you are using now, or the laptop you are reading this article from, all have one thing in common, antennas. Antennas are affixed to make a connection with the signal tower. As a connection these antennas emit radiation which over time damages our skin.

We all know, as informative as the digital world can be, but at times it fills us with misleading information. Here are the damages of radiation to our skin and ways to protect it.

skin discoloration All electronic devices have one thing in common, and that is the harmful radiation effect on the skin. Skin damage is a major phenomenon nowadays, radiation penetrating the skin causes itching, and dryness worsens the skin complexion by turning red or black.

premature aging : Given our current lifestyle of being around electronic devices all the time, our skin cycle is going in the wrong direction. Radiation from devices or the sun creates tanning beds on our skin. Excessive exposure to UV rays damages the inner layer of tissues, causing them to lose their elasticity. Hence radiation leads us to premature aging and such side effects.

breakouts When our skin dislikes the environment around us, it reflects the same in different ways. Breakout is one of the common problems seen due to environment. The skin loses its protector or becomes more sensitive, which eventually manifests as breakouts.

skin pigmentation : Considering all the skin damage caused by radiation and blue light, skin pigmentation is one of the worst and possibly most irritating skin conditions that one gets through radiation. As much as we want to avoid it, there is no defense, skin pigmentation is a condition where the skin adopts dark spots around the area.

skin sensitivity : As we age, skin sensitivity is one of the most important factors that directly affect our skin and cause permanent damage to it, whether we get red easily or the whole skin becomes dry. Skin sensitivity weakens the strength of your skin, the more sensitive the skin, the less likely the skin is to fight off harmful airborne particles. This is where radiation enters the picture by weakening the skin to such an extent that it can no longer tolerate anything.

dark circles :Imagine that the whole face is flawless and the red bags around the eyes are sitting free of rent! If you ask us, it’s time to act on skin damage. No amount of good skin can cover loads of heavy dark circles.

Ways to protect our skin from radiation:

  • .Let your skin absorb more than just radiation by getting outside in the fresh air and allowing it to heal in nature.
  • There is nothing like drinking too much water; The more you drink, the more your skin will thank you. So drink water and protect yourself from the radiation caused by water.
  • Wash your face regularly, and make sure your eyes are getting enough water so that harmful radiation washes away with each splash.
  • Use radiation protection face cream as your daily moisturizer to protect you from all kinds of radiation.
  • Reduce your screen time. And don’t use your phone while sleeping.
