  • Rice – 1 bowl
  • Mag dal – 1 bowl
  • Onion – 1 modified

  • Cumin – 1 tsp
  • Turmeric – 1/2 tsp
  • Chili – 1 tbsp
  • Garam Masala – 1/2 tsp
  • Coriander – 3 tbsp
  • Oil – 4 tsp
  • Ghee – as required

how to make

To make Kathiawadi Masala Khichdi, first of all take rice and chicken lentils and clean them. After that wash it. Now fix potatoes, onions, tomatoes. Then put dal and rice in the pressure cooker and add potatoes, peas, turmeric and salt as per taste. Boil dal and rice by adding 4 times water. Now take a pan and put oil in it and heat it on medium flame. When the oil is hot, add cumin, ginger, garlic and asafoetida. Then add onions and fry for 1 minute. Then add finely chopped tomatoes, chillies, turmeric, garam masala to it. Fry till the oil separates from the spices. Now add little water to the gravy and cook till it comes to a boil. Now add boiled mash to it. Mix all these well and let it mix for 2 minutes. After that add coriander. Your Kathiawadi mash is ready. Drizzle ghee on top before serving.
