new Delhi : The Central Government may introduce the Criminal Procedure (Identity) Bill, 2022 in the Rajya Sabha on Wednesday.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah is about to introduce the Bill, which seeks to authorize “to take measurements and preserve records of convicts and other persons for the purpose of identification and investigation in criminal cases and for matters connected therewith and incidental thereto”. as passed by the Lok Sabha. , be kept in mind.” Shah also proposes that the bill be passed.
The government may also introduce the Constitution (Scheduled Tribes) Order (Amendment) Bill, 2022, according to the list of business of the Upper House of Parliament. Tribal Affairs Minister Arjun Munda may move the bill to amend the constitution. (Scheduled Tribes) Order, 1950, for inclusion of a certain community in the list of Scheduled Tribes in respect of Tripura, as passed by the Lok Sabha, to be considered and passed.
