Ghaziabad, April 11 (H.S.). Kotwali police on Monday arrested two miscreants who ran away after robbing a youth’s purse and mobile at the new bus stand, after an encounter in the Civil Lines area. In the encounter, both the miscreants were injured by police bullets. A stolen purse, mobile, two pistols and a stolen motorcycle have been recovered from their possession.

Police Officer First Swatantra Kumar told that two miscreants had fled after looting mobiles and purses from Deepak Kumar, a resident of Hind Nagar Colony. After the information, the police started checking by blocking all the roads. Meanwhile, two motorcycle-borne suspects were seen coming in front of the outpost civil line, who were signaled to stop by the police, then instead of stopping, they started running after firing on the police party. After chasing the police arrested him in an encounter near Chipyana gate. The miscreant was injured by the police bullet. The arrested miscreants have been identified as Abhishek Rajput, a resident of Gautam Budh Nagar, Saurav, a resident of Vijay Nagar. Police admitted the injured miscreants to the treatment hospital. Further legal action is being taken.
