Gurdaspur: All private schools and colleges will remain closed in Punjab today. The Federation Association of Private Schools has taken this decision in the case of rape of a girl child in a private school in Gurdaspur. The federation says that the police have registered a false case against the school operators.

The administrators of private schools had earlier informed the children and their parents about the closure of schools and colleges on Monday. Notice boards on school and college campuses on Monday sent out school closure notices as well as messages to parents.

State President of the federation Dr. Jagjit Singh Dhuri and District Gurdaspur representative Dr. Mohit Mahajan told that a 4-year-old girl from a school in Gurdaspur was recently raped. All organizations have condemned the incident and registration of cases against innocent managers.

At the same time, the Federation says that according to the camera recording of the school, the girl reaches her class safely and after spending the whole day in school, the girl’s mother takes her home. The girl went home after going to the market and according to another video, the girl was seen walking in the area in the evening.

Mohit Mahajan said that the organization has decided that if the girls do not get justice soon and innocent managers are not released, then all the organizations will take to the streets in the coming days. During the meeting, the organizations demanded justice from the government. A letter has also been written to the Chief Minister of Punjab in this regard.
