The prices of petrol, diesel and CNG have been increasing continuously since the assembly elections in five states. Due to which the prices of food items and all the necessities of life are skyrocketing. Opposition groups called for a boycott of the assembly in protest against the rising prices. In this, Congress leader Netta D’Souza met Union Minister Smriti Irani on a Delhi-Guwahati flight. Meanwhile, he stunned the Union Minister over the rising fuel prices.
D’Souza later tweeted a video of the incident. In the video, he can be seen recording the entire conversation from his phone. Netta tweeted that Union Minister Smriti Irani had met him on his way to Guwahati. When I asked him about the rising LPG prices, he took a dig at the rising cost of vaccination, the ration scheme.
As can be seen in the video, the Congress leader is asking a question to Irani. “They are blocking my way,” Irani said. When asked about the shortage of cooking gas, he said, “Please don’t lie.”
It is worth noting that the prices of petrol and diesel have been increasing continuously for the last few days. However, there has been no hike in fuel prices for the last 4 days. The price of petrol in Delhi is Rs 105.41 and that of diesel is Rs 96.67 per litre. These prices are from 4 days ago.
