SII had fixed the cost of the Kovishield vaccine at Rs 600, while the Bharat Biote vaccine was priced at Rs 1,200.
Adar Poonawalla tweeted today, “We are happy to announce that after consultations with the Central Government, SII has decided to reduce the cost of Kovidshield Vaccine from Rs 600 to Rs 225 per dose for private hospitals. is.” Earlier the cost of Kovishield Serum for private hospitals was Rs 600, but now it has been halved, i.e. now the cost of the vaccine will be Rs 225.
