New Delhi : To teach a lesson to his employer, a 25-year-old man in the national capital stole his employer’s motorcycle and demanded Rs 20,000 to return it. An official gave this information on Saturday.
According to the official, the accused has been identified as Anoop, a resident of Nihal Vihar in Delhi, who was arrested for the crime.
DCP (External) Sameer Sharma said that on April 1, a complaint of motorcycle theft was received at Mundka police station. DCP Sharma said, “During investigation, the complainant told the police that he received a call from a person named Anoop Singh, who earlier worked with him and demanded Rs 20,000 from him for returning his motorcycle.”
After this, the police arrested the accused and arrested him from Nihal Vihar in Delhi.
During interrogation, the accused disclosed that he was working with the complainant Virendra, but he did not pay his dues and also refused to pay him. So he stole his bike to teach him a lesson and get his money back. Police said they have recovered the stolen motorcycle and further investigation is on.
