Chennai: The Tamil Nadu government will organize a Global Investors Meet in the state by the end of 2022, Chief Minister MK Stalin said on Wednesday. “At the end of 2022, we will organize a Global Investors’ Meet in Tamil Nadu and I appeal to all to cooperate with the government’s initiative without any difference,” Stalin said in the state assembly.

His statement comes after his visit to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) where he attended the Dubai Expo 2022 and met investors. “I had gone to Dubai for the investors’ meet where 190 countries participated and invited global investors to invest in Tamil Nadu. A total investment of Rs 6,100 crore and 14 MoUs have been signed.

This will help in providing employment to 15,100 people.” Stalin assured that a working group would be set up in Tamil Nadu on how to implement the investments received in the state. “There has been a 41 per cent increase in foreign direct investment in our state since 2021.” May by now,” Stalin said.
