Chief Justice of the Supreme Court (CJI) N.V. Ramanna has expressed concern. Criticizing such cases, he said that during the hearing of a case on Friday, a new trend has started in the country. The judges are being maligned by the government.

The court made the remarks while hearing a special petition against Sharma named Chhattisgarh. Originally, the Supreme Court was hearing the decision of the Chhattisgarh High Court. The High Court had quashed the FIR registered under the Prevention of Corruption Act.

Senior advocate Rakesh Dwivedi was presenting his case before the court on a petition filed in the apex court. Meanwhile, the counsel for the petitioner, Siddharth Dave, referred to the allegations against some judges. On this, CJI Ramanna said, “Earlier, different types of allegations were leveled against the judges by private parties.

Now the government is also involved in this scam. This is unfortunate. We are seeing such currency in this court as well. Senior advocate Siddharth Dave said, “Such activity cannot be ignored.” Thereafter, the Chief Justice refrained from hearing the matter.
