Bangalore : Bangalore Four schools in the state received bomb threats via e-mail on Friday morning. The City Police along with the Bomb Disposal Squad reached the school premises.

Commissioner Kamal Pant said, “4 schools on the outskirts of Bengaluru have received bomb threat e-mails. Police team has reached the spot and is investigating. Even the bomb squads have reached the schools.” Vincent Pallotti, Ebenezer International and Indian Public Schools received threatening emails on the official email IDs of their schools.

The e-mail states that a very powerful bomb has been planted in the school, and hundreds of lives will be lost if they take this warning as a joke. It also asked the authorities to immediately call the police and sappers to save the lives of innocents. After receiving the email, there was a stir among the school staff. Thereafter the premises were vacated and the police carried out a search operation with Bomb Disposal Squad and Dog Squad.

Additional Commissioner (West) A. Subramaneeswara Rao said that “99 percent of such bomb threats turned out to be false later and there was no need for parents and students to panic. A search operation was going on in the premises. Exams.”
