New Delhi: The budget session of Parliament ended on Thursday. On this occasion, Prime Minister Narendra Modi met many opposition leaders including Congress interim president Sonia Gandhi. Defense Minister Rajnath Singh and Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla were also present during PM Modi’s meeting with the Leader of the Opposition.

Sharing this picture, the Speaker of the Lok Sabha wrote, ‘After the indefinite adjournment of Lok Sabha, leaders of all parties urged that collective efforts are needed to increase the dignity of the House and increase the level of debate. It is expected that all parties will actively participate in this.

House productivity 129 percent –
The budget session of the Speaker’s House is scheduled to last till April 8. But the proceedings of the meeting held on Thursday were adjourned indefinitely. The session had 27 seats and the productivity of the House was 129 per cent. Earlier in the day, Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla said that the sitting of the House lasted for about 177 hours and 50 minutes, during which 182 starred questions were answered.
