Vadodara : Vadodara Big and relief news has come for the farmers of K.K. and especially the farmers of Karjan taluka. Vadodara Sugar Mill will be reopened in Gandhar village of Karjan taluka of Vadodara district. Gujarat State Sugar Director BM Joshi Gandhinagar has given green signal to Vadodara Gandhar Sugar Factory.
Administrative letter has been handed over to Jitubhai Patel of Mota Pofalia village of Shinor to start Vadodara Sugar Factory with the blessings of Gujarat Cabinet Minister Jagdish Panchal. There is an atmosphere of happiness among sugarcane growers after the State Cooperation Minister Jagdish Panchal gave an administrative letter to reopen the closed Vadodara sugar mill.
The closed Vadodara Gandhar Sugar Mill has been given an administrative letter from the Government’s Agriculture Farmers Welfare and Cooperation Department, Gujarat State Gandhinagar Sugar Director BM Joshi. With this, the green signal has been given to restart the plant machinery at Vadodara Gandhar Sugar Factory.
Along with this, under the provision of section 74 (d) of the Gujarat Co-operative Societies Act, 1961, Vadodara District Co. Sugarcane Growers Association Ltd. Vadodara Gandhar has been ordered to appoint a Custodian Committee. A copy of this order Patel Jitendrabhai (Fat Fofalia), Patel Sachinbhai (Shinor), Patel Kaushik Bhai (Curjan), Maharaul Yogendra Singh (Curjan) and Patel is given to Shashikant (Dabhoi).
Sugar factory like lifeline for farmers
Sugarcane is cultivated in 5700 acres registered in the command area of Vadodara Sugar Factory and a total of 6300 acres. Farmers cultivating sugarcane demanded that Vadodara sugar mill be started. The factory is the lifeline for the farmers. Akshay Patel, a member of Curzon Dhara, attempted to reopen the sugar mill, which was closed due to administrative shortcomings. Welcoming the verdict, crackers were burst by BJP workers in Karjan.
