Terrorist Attack: A citizen of another state has been attacked in Jammu and Kashmir’s Pulwama. Terrorists opened fire on a man in Yader, Pulwama. The deceased has been identified as Sonu Sharma, a resident of Pathankot, Punjab. The local people have admitted him to the district hospital in Pulwama.
Currently, there has been an increase in attacks on non-locals in J&K. Recently, terrorists blew themselves up near Tulip Garden in Srinagar. A rickshaw driver was killed in the blast. Police said the driver of the van with the registration number in Jammu district opened the rear door of the vehicle near the parking area. The Resistance Front (TRF), an organization affiliated to Lashkar-e-Taiba operating in Jammu and Kashmir, has claimed responsibility for the attack. TRF said a magnetic IED was used in the attack.
Militancy has increased rapidly in Jammu and Kashmir in recent times. On 6 April, two terrorists were killed by the security forces. Two terrorists of banned terrorist group Ansar Ghazwatul Hind and Lashkar-e-Taiba were killed in a clash with security forces in Tral area of Jammu and Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Wednesday. According to a police officer, the terrorists have been identified as Safat Muzaffar Sofi alias Muawiya of Ansar Gajwatul Hind and Umar Teli alias Talha of Lashkar.
