Supreme court: A strange case came to the fore in the Supreme Court on Wednesday, which shook Chief Justice NV Ramana, his bench Justice Krishna Murari and Justice Hima Kohli. The case involved a matrimonial dispute, in which the couple filed over 60 cases against each other in 41 years. The couple filed suit after 30 years of marriage.

Ordering mediation in the matter, Chief Justice NV Ramana observed that some people have a habit of quarreling, if they do not go to court even once a day, they cannot sleep at night. Raman has ordered for an amicable settlement of the dispute.
After the hearing, the bench expressed surprise
When the matter was brought before the Chief Justice’s bench, he was surprised to learn that the couple had filed more than 60 cases against each other in the 11 years since their separation. The bench directed both the couples to mediate. Further, he clarified that since the mediation process is inevitable, both cannot be allowed to pursue other pending matters during this period.
