Mumbai: XPay.Life has joined hands with NPCI Bharat Billpay Limited (NBBL), a wholly owned subsidiary of National Payment Corporation of India, to digitally transform BEST’s cash counters. This initiative will facilitate seamless electricity bill payment for lakhs of BEST customers. BEST’s BOCP (Biller’s Own Collection Point) will now go completely digital with user-friendly solutions for its customers to make more utility transactions apart from electricity bill payments.

Digitization – will be through three different modes of payment powered by NBBL. The first is by deploying Intelligent Point of Sales (POS) machines at BEST’s select cash counters, where customers can pay their bills through any mode of payment, be it cash or UPI. The customer gets a receipt instantly and the transaction is completed within 10 seconds.

In the second method, touch screen kiosks will be installed at various best locations for the customers to choose their convenient time and mode of payment. The kiosk will be equipped with a cash validator to remove counterfeit notes. Payments made by customers using this kiosk will provide security; Enabled through Bharat Billpay platform.

The third payment option is the pioneer and aims at getting Best K counters at the customers’ homes. The XPay.Life mobile van will be deployed for BEST and will travel to customers’ locations on select days of the week, enabling payments through both touch screen kiosks installed inside the van and mobile POS. XPay.Life Mobile Van will be a full spectrum service provider for all the needs of the customers from electricity bill collection to adding many more services soon. The biggest factor is that all the machines inside the Best Mobile van are solar powered and a UPS that charges when powered around – a truly green initiative.

One of the unique features of this method is that all the machines inside the BEST mobile van are powered by solar power and a UPS which charges when driven around. Customers will not only be able to pay the best bills at all these locations but will also have access to thousands of utility bills like LPG booking, mobile bill payment, insurance payment and DTH recharge, among other things.
