DEHRADUN, 07 APRIL (H.C.). Learning a lesson from people who fell ill after consuming a dish made of buckwheat flour in Haridwar, the Food Safety Department on Thursday conducted sampling of milk and milk products going to Mussoorie for quality inspection of food items.

District Food Safety Officer Dehradun PC Joshi said that on the instructions of District Magistrate Dehradun, at 4 am on Thursday, the FDA team reached the barrier located on the Mussoorie diversion for quality checking of milk vehicles going to Mussoorie and stopped the vehicles and 5 suspects of milk, cheese. Samples were taken for quality check. Which was sent to the government lab for testing. He said that after receiving the report, legal action would be taken under the Food Safety Standards Act, 2006.

District Food Safety Officer PC Joshi, Senior Food Safety Officer Ramesh Singh, Sanjay Tiwari, Senior Food Safety Officer Manju Rawat etc. were present in the team.
