Raipur, 7th April (H.S.). A 14-member monitoring team has been constituted by the Raipur Municipal Corporation to supply water to all the houses of the city.

Team members have been given the charge of different Jalgaras. From waterlogging in all the water bodies to the supply of drinking water to the last houses of the tail area, it is also being monitored. In view of water-borne diseases, jaundice and malaria, regular checking of water will be done with special vigilance in drinking water supply. Instructions have also been given to take action on Tullu pumps.

On the instructions of Mayor Ejaz Dhebar, Executive Engineer Badri Chandrakar to Shankar Nagar, Avanti Vihar, RK Gupta to Baranbazar and Motibagh, Assistant Engineer Pradeep Yadav to Kabir Nagar, Kota, Jarwai, Narsing Farendra to Devpuri, Lalpur, Amlidih, Ashutosh Singh to Shyamnagar, Agricultural Produce Market, Padmakar Shrivas to Gogaon, Bhanpuri and Khamtrai, Dinesh Sinha to Kachana, Amasivani, Saddu, Yogesh Kadu to Sarona, Tatibandh, Sharadchandra Dhruv to Devendra Nagar, Sanjay Nagar, Tank No. 4, Yogendra Kumar Devangan to Kushalpur, DD Nagar , Rajendranagar, Yuvraj Sidar have been made in-charge of Bhathagaon, Mathpurina, Changorabhatha, Anurag Patkar as Gudhiyari Bharat Mata, Ganj, Ramesh Patel as old Idgah Bhatha, new Idgah Bhatha, Dangnia and Nitish Jha in-charge of Mowa Swamp Seoni and Telibandha watersheds.

From 6 am onwards, he will do 5 chlorine readings including one water tank reading of any one of the reservoirs of his charge. Will check the amount of chlorine by going to the tail end of the pipelines. If the amount of chlorine is found to be less than 0.2, the officials of the concerned zone will be informed and directed to do additional chlorination. They have also been given the responsibility of dosing hypochloride for additional boosting in the tanks if required. Theft of water from Tulu pumps is also believed to be the reason for the low water pressure reaching people’s homes. For this also instructions have been given to make special preparations and take action.
