Pune, April 7 (H.S.). Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) all-rounder Pat Cummins played an aggressive innings of 56 against Mumbai Indians astonished everyone. Although Cummins himself was also surprised after playing this innings.

After the match, Cummins said, “I am more surprised. I was trying not to overthink. It’s really satisfying.”

Cummins smashed a 14-ball half-century equaling KL Rahul’s record for the joint-fastest fifty in Indian Premier League (IPL) history against Delhi Capitals in 2018.

Cummins performed brilliantly in this match, taking the first two wickets, followed by Daniel Sams’ 35 runs in the same over. Due to this stellar performance, Cummins was adjudged ‘Player of the Match’.

Pat Cummins said, “The ball seems to be flying here. So I just planned to hit on the small side and was successful in that.”

Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) have made a great start this season by winning three out of three matches and the team has been excelling in all three departments of the game. Two-time champions KKR will take on Delhi Capitals on Sunday.
