New Delhi: The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has made an announcement for Sunday (April 17) that metro operations on a section of the busy Blue Line will not be available in the initial few hours on Sunday because of the planned maintenance work on the section. The affected section will be between Rajiv Chowk and Karolbagh Metro stations of the corridor.

 

The Blue Line connects Dwarka Sector 21 in Delhi with Noida Electronic City/Vaishali. Delhi Metro Rail Corporation said that metro services will remain available between Noida Electronic City/Vaishali-Rajiv Chowk and Karol Bagh-Dwarka Sector-21.

 

An announcement will also be made about the destination of the trains and the respective platforms for change during this period at the stations and inside the trains. Rest of the Blue Line sections i.e. Noida Electronic City/Vaishali to Rajiv Chowk and Karol Bagh to Dwarka Sector-21 train services will remain available during this period as per regular Sunday timetable.

 

DMRC said, “For scheduled track maintenance work on Blue Line (Dwarka Sector-21 to Noida Electronic City/Vaishali), train services on the morning of 17 April 2022 (Sunday) between Rajiv Chowk and Karol Bagh will remain suspended from the beginning. of revenue services till 07.00 am. “Therefore, the Ram Krishna Ashram Marg and Jhandewalan section will remain closed till the resumption of train services i.e. till 7:00 am,” it said.

To carry out scheduled track maintenance work on Blue Line i.e. Line-3/4 (Dwarka Sector-21 to Noida Electronic City/Vaishali), train services will be briefly regulated on the morning of *17 April 2022 (Sunday)*. Following scheme:-

1. Train services will remain suspended between Rajiv Chowk and Karol Bagh section from the commencement of revenue services till 07.00 am. Hence, the two stations on Ram Krishna Ashram Marg and Jhandewalan section will remain closed till 7:00 am till the resumption of train services.
2. Rest of the Blue Line sections i.e. Noida Electronic City/Vaishali to Rajiv Chowk and Karol Bagh to Dwarka Sector-21 train services will remain available as per regular Sunday timetable during this period.
3. An announcement will also be made regarding the change of destination of trains and respective platforms at stations and inside trains during this period.
