New Delhi: Aadhaar is one of the most important documents a citizen of India can have. It serves as address proof, birth certificate and as a means of carrying out a variety of tasks at places like banks and post offices. The government has now made it mandatory to link Aadhaar with PAN. While m-Aadhaar and e-Aadhaar are the two ways to access Aadhaar, the Unique Identification Authority of India, or UIDAI, has unveiled the Aadhaar PVC card, which prints Aadhaar details on the PVC card with security measures.

“Order Aadhaar PVC Card” is a new service from UIDAI that allows Aadhaar holders to get their Aadhaar details printed on the PVC card for a small fee. According to the UIDAI website, non-registered/alternate mobile numbers can be used by residents who do not have a registered mobile number.

For the benefit of the Aadhaar card holder, the Aadhaar PVC card includes security features such as secure QR code hologram, micro text, ghost image, date of issue and print date, guilloche design and embossed Aadhaar logo.
