MNS President Raj Thackeray today announced to visit Maruthi Mandir in Pune and attend the ongoing Hanuman Chalisa recitation. In response to which Shiv Sena has announced to make Maharathi in many places in Mumbai. In which there is mention of Maha Aarti in Dadar’s pigeon house and other areas.
At the same time, MNS has also spoken of Maha Aarti and Hanuman Chalisa in Hanuman temple of Behrambagh area of Jogeshwari, a Muslim-dominated area. Raj Thackeray is adamant that his party will recite Hanuman Chalisa over loudspeakers if the Maharashtra government does not remove loudspeakers from mosques by May 3.
Shiv Sena now fears that the Hindutva issue will be snatched away as the movement started by Raj Thackeray has intensified. So she is trying to maintain her Hindutva vote bank by organizing Maharatis.
