In the Mill Bazar area of ​​Bansbedia under Mogra police station in Hooghly district, the police on Saturday stopped Hanuman devotees going to the local temple for weapon worship on the day of Hanuman’s birth anniversary. Along with this, his weapon was taken in his possession. After the video of the incident went viral, the police are getting infuriated from all around.

It can be seen in the video that Hanuman devotees kept pleading with the police that they would go to the temple and worship their weapons. But the police did not listen to them and took their traditional weapons in their possession.

It is noteworthy that on the day of Hanuman Janmotsav, in Bansberia, in the traditional way, Hanuman devotees worship their weapons by going to the temple and with the same weapons they take out a grand procession in the entire area. This has been happening continuously for many years. But the attitude of the police this year was surprising to everyone.

The police asked Hanuman devotees to worship at their homes. After the video of the incident went viral, till the writing of the news, no explanation was received from the police in this matter.
