On the occasion of Himachal Day, Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur has given another gift to the people of rural areas by waiving the water bills of rural areas. Now there will be no water bill in rural areas. The government is spending Rs 30 crore on this.

The BJP President said in Shimla on Saturday that Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur had announced on January 25 this year, on the occasion of Himachal’s Purna Statehood Day, that no fee would be required to be paid for spending 0 to 60 units of electricity in Himachal. Simultaneously, electricity charges were reduced from Re 1 55 paise to Re 1 for using 61 to 125 units of electricity. On the occasion of 75th foundation day of Himachal Day, Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur has made electricity from 0 to 125 units free of cost, providing further relief to the electricity consumers.

Suresh Kashyap said that for the empowerment of women, Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur has given a wonderful gift to the mothers and sisters of the state by announcing 50 percent reduction in the fare for women traveling in Himachal Road Transport Corporation buses. Whenever the women of the state travel for employment and other daily work, half the fare will be charged.

Suresh Kashyap said that the government has given proof of being employee friendly by giving new pay scales to the employees. Along with this, the contract period of contract employees has been reduced from three years to two years, so that the employees working on contract in various departments are being regularized on completion of the contract period of two years, due to which the employees of the state are happy.
