Bangalore: Karnataka Rural Development Minister KS Eshwarappa spoke to reporters at his Race Course Road residence after submitting his resignation to Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai on Friday night. Eshwarappa said, “I do not want any further embarrassment in this matter. There is some plot angle behind this episode. Somebody has conspired…legally there are no charges. Somebody is doing low level politics.” There are some people who were against me and wanted to bring me down. Those who hatched the conspiracy, their names will come out. I was being accused. So, let me come clean. To prove your innocence, it is important. Karnataka minister Eshwarappa said after submitting his resignation to Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai.
Eshwarappa said, “My continuance as a minister while the investigation is going on can be taken to mean that I can influence the investigation. Therefore, I have resigned from my post. I am confident that I will be proved innocent and become a minister again.” , Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai on Friday night accepted the resignation of Karnataka minister KS Eshwarappa. Later, the resignation of Governor Thaawarchand Gehlot was sent for approval.
