Jaipur, 7 April (H.S.). World Health Day was celebrated by the Medical and Health Department on Thursday at Jawahar Circle with the resolve to keep the public healthy and fit.
Dr Jitendra Kumar Soni, Mission Director, National Health Mission said that a strong nation can be built only through better health. The state government is expanding medical facilities with the intention of keeping the people of the state healthy. He said that a healthy body can be found only with a better lifestyle.
Dr Soni said that the State Government is providing better medical facilities to the common man through Mukhyamantri Chiranjeevi Swasthya Bima Yojana, Mukhyamantri Free Medicine Scheme, Chief Minister Free Testing Scheme. He said that from April 1, Mukhyamantri Free Nirogi Rajasthan Yojna has been started in the state, in which cashless treatment of patients is being done during IPD and OPD.
During the program, Yoga Instructor made Yoga and Zumba performed by a large number of attendees and shared fitness mantras. During this, facilities like vaccination camp, screening of diseases like hypertension and diabetes, BMI screening, selfie corner, anemia screening, free eye check-up and other types of simple tests were also made available. It is worth noting that this year’s theme of World Health Day is ‘Our Planet Our Earth’.
On this occasion CIFU Director Dr RP Doria, State Nodal Officer NUHM Dr Rommel Singh, CMHO 1st Dr Narottam Sharma, UNICEF Dr Vishwakarma, Dr Rishi and other officers were present.
